Are you feeling anxious about your child starting kindergarten? We understand that it can be a stressful time for both of you. That’s why we created our Head Start Learning Program – to help make the transition into kindergarten easier and smoother. We will help your child get familiarized with routines, strengthen their foundational concepts, and apply custom approaches according to their unique personality and learning abilities.
Starting school can be a daunting experience for children and parents alike. We strive to create an environment that is comfortable, encouraging, and fun – making the transition into Kindergarten a “No tears experience”. Our program offers 2-1/2 hours of instruction 3 or 5 days per week, morning or afternoon over five months so your child has ample opportunity to get used to the routine of being at school without feeling overwhelmed by it all! By providing these early experiences with a kind learning atmosphere we hope kids begin taking responsibility for themselves in preparation for their future educational endeavours.
Our program is designed to ensure that your child has all the necessary skills they need to succeed in kindergarten. We cover a wide range of topics, from math and science to language arts and creative thinking. We will help your child get familiarized with routines, strengthen their foundational concepts, and apply custom approaches according to their unique personality and learning abilities. Our team of experienced educators will focus on helping your child become independent learners who can take initiative, become independant and tackle with the anxieties of transitioning to school.
We also emphasize social-emotional learning (SEL), which is an important part of every child’s development. SEL teaches children how to recognize and manage their emotions, how to develop positive relationships with peers and adults, how to make responsible decisions, and more. Through our program, your child will learn important SEL principles such as empathy, self-regulation, problem solving, communication skills, peace building strategies, decision making skills, respect for others’ ideas ,and more.
Our teaching methods are designed around the “Whole Child” framework – focusing on cognitive development as well as physical health & wellness; social & emotional growth; language & literacy; creativity & imagination; character development; aesthetic appreciation; and moral reasoning. This approach allows us to provide comprehensive support that addresses all aspects of your child’s development while preparing them for success in kindergarten.
